About
Hi, my name is Edgardo Vega and this is my blog. I am primarily a Microsoft developer, but I have been known to venture into other platforms and languages from time to time. I have been working on the Information Technology field since 2001, specializing in architecting and building enterprise class systems.
I graduated from Bishop Ireton High School 2000 and then headed off to Blacksburg, VA to attend Virginia Tech. Here is where I meet my fantastic wife Laurian in math class in the summer of 2002. I graduated Virginia Tech in 2004 with a Bachelors in Computer Science, from the College of Engineering. I then was offered a job to go full time at Moog Components Group. This let me stay here in Blacksburg, while Laurian finished her Masters. Little did I know that finishing a masters, really meant getting a PhD.
On October 21st, 2005, I proposed and we got married August 15th, 2006. Also in 2007, I started my Master in Computer Science part-time, with prodding from my boss, my wife, and Dr. Manuel Perez-Quinones my now adviser. I am currently planing on writing my thesis on how communities events effect individuals use of Twitter. On August 13th, 2008, Cameron Mark Vega join us in the world as the third member of our family.
So know that you know a little about me. I hope you continue on by reading and enjoying my blog.
Cheers,
Edgardo
